ABRII Participated in the First International Conference of Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences, Venezuela

Prof. Mehran Enayati Shariatpanahi, ABRII’s Deputy Director for Research, and Prof. Saeid Pourdad, ABRII’s Deputy Director for Planning and Budget, participated in the inaugural International Conference of the newly established Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences in Venezuela.

The conference gathered representatives from six countries with the strongest scientific collaboration ties to Venezuela: Iran, Russia, China, Vietnam, Serbia, and Cuba. During the opening ceremony, Venezuela’s Minister of Science and Technology thanked the participating nations for their active engagement, with special recognition given to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As part of the event, ABRII’s delegation delivered scientific presentations. Prof. Enayati Shariatpanahi presented on "F1 Hybrid Seed Development Using Biotechnological Approaches", while Prof. Pourdad gave a presentation on "The Status of Safflower Research and Development in Iran."

This conference marked the second phase of ABRII’s official visit to Venezuela. Earlier, the delegation visited the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) under a bilateral cooperation initiative, where they explored potential joint research projects.
