Simple, Rapid, and Environmentally Friendly Ammonia Detection Kit Patented by ABRII
The Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute (ABRII) is proud to announce that Dr. Forough Ghasemi, a distinguished faculty member, has successfully patented a groundbreaking visual and rapid ammonia detection kit based on gold-silver core-shell nanorods. This innovative technology is the result of a collaborative project between ABRII and the International Sturgeon Research Institute.
The patent registration for the ammonia detection kit was facilitated by the Intellectual Property Office at ABRII. The kit addresses a critical need for a simple, rapid, and environmentally friendly method for detecting ammonia, a harmful pollutant that poses risks to human health, aquatic life, and the environment.
Traditional ammonia detection methods often involve complex procedures, expensive equipment, and hazardous chemicals, limiting their suitability for on-site monitoring. ABRII's patented kit offers a significant advantage by providing a visual and rapid detection method that is easy to use and requires minimal technical expertise.
Dr. Ghasemi, a renowned researcher in the field of nanosensors, has a proven track record of innovation. She previously patented a Colorimetric Kit Based on Gold Nanoparticles for Qualitative and Quantitative Detection of Nitrite Ion. This latest achievement further solidifies her reputation as a leading expert in the development of innovative detection technologies.
