Three distinguished faculty members from the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII), Shohreh Ariaeenejad, Elaheh Motamedi, and Youssef Nami, have been included in the prestigious list of the world's top 2% scientists for 2024. Compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier based on standardized citation metrics, this annual list identifies the top 2% of researchers globally across various scientific fields.
The selection process for this esteemed list involves a comprehensive evaluation of researchers based on key metrics such as total citations, h-index, hm-index, and citations in different author positions. Researchers are categorized into 22 broad fields and 174 subfields. The ranking considers both the overall impact of a researcher's career-long contributions and the impact of their research in 2023.
The inclusion of these three ABRII researchers in this prestigious list is a testament to their exceptional research and its significant global impact. This achievement is a source of great pride for ABRII, the Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Organization (AREEO), and the entire scientific community of Iran.
